STEP 3) After you and your staff members, family members and friends Sign the Online Petition that the New York Physical Therapy Association has created to support legislation to change the co-pay law, have the petition site open at your front desk computer. Ask your patients to sign the online petition as they are at your office
STEP 4) Send a letter to your legislator to ask them to support legislation that proposes changes to the co-payment law. Click here for a sample letter.
Ask your patients to sign this letter too.
STEP 5) Call your insurance plan and your employer and tell them that you oppose the high co-pay plans for Physical Therapy.
STEP 6) WE NEED AS MUCH MEDIA EXPOSURE AS POSSIBLE!
Call your local newspapers and any of the media that you can reach and ask them to do a story about the high co-payment situation. Here is a story from ABC discussing the high co-pays for Physical Therapy.
